Is your little one refusing bottles?
let our bottle refusal certified IBCLC assist!

If your baby is refusing the bottle, you're not alone. Bottle refusal is incredibly common—especially for breastfed or chest fed babies—and it can feel stressful when you're preparing to go back to work, planning to travel, wanting shared feeding responsibilities, or simply needing a predictable feeding rhythm.
But here’s the reassuring truth:
-
Bottle refusal is a developmental response — not a failure.
-
Most babies can learn to take a bottle with the right approach.
-
Support makes a huge difference.
At Milk+Honey Lactation & Infant Feeding, we specialize in helping families navigate bottle refusal using gentle, responsive, evidence-based strategies that honor your baby’s feeding preferences and protect your breastfeeding relationship (if that’s part of your goal).
For bottle refusal:
We’ll meet virtually first (typically within 24-48 hours) to review your history, discuss your goals, and plan your in-office visit with the right tools — bottles included. Then we will see you in office (typically within 24-72 hours) for your baby's bottle therapy session! Your consultant or our admin assistant will schedule your in-office visit, so you can focus on your baby — not the logistics.

"I will help you find the "why" for your baby's bottle refusal through our feeding therapy sessions."

When Your Baby Won’t Take a Bottle — We’re Here to Help!
What We Focus on During Your Bottle Refusal Support Session
During your consultation, we work collaboratively to explore:
-
Your baby’s feeding history and temperament
-
Your goals (work, part-time bottle use, exclusive pumping, hybrid feeding, etc.)
-
The type of bottle, nipple shape, flow rate, and feeding method best suited for your baby
-
Timing, pacing, and environmental setup
-
A step-by-step transition plan tailored to your timeline
-
How to protect breastfeeding or milk supply (if applicable)
Instead of one-size-fits-all advice, you leave with a personalized, realistic plan designed for your baby — not just “what worked on the internet.”
